Welcome to our Mountain Horse Ranch in Western Canada!

2010 was a big building year for us. The much awaited training facility has a solid foundation and what a great year it is going to be finishing and settling in!

GMR is nestled in the Skimikin and Turtle Valley just minutes off of British Columbia's Trans Canada Highway (#1). Only 4 hours from Vancouver / US Border and 6 hours from Calgary, Alberta. Copper Moon, Kentucky Mountain Horse rare Cheeks Rocky bloodlineWe are blessed with the the beauty and tranquility our valley has to offer in the heart of the Shuswap Lakes District.

GMR's Rocky Mountain Horse stallion, Kentucky Tornado enjoys his new pasture with an incredible valley view from his plateau. We are once again spoiled with direct access to crown land giving our horses nature's own training ground where the trails are spectacular and the views breathtaking.

The appeal of the Mountain Horses is rooted in their calm, inquisitive disposition combined with the ease-of-ride, natural gait. Relatively rare in Canada, this unique and gentle breed possesses incredible qualities and versatility for all ages and skill Rocky chocolate geldinglevel of riders. Their natural, smooth four-beat gait is becoming very popular and is ideal for those with injuries or who can no longer withstand the jarring of the trot. This single foot footfall can be counted in equal candescence in a 1-2-3-4 rhythm.

Gaited Meadows Ranch has developed an exceptional breeding program in western Canada and proudly stands Kentucky Tornado, dark chocolate flax m/t dual certified RMHA/KMSHA. Kentucky Tornado possesses strong natural gait and great mind that exemplifies the Rocky Mountain Horse. He is a consistent producer of foals with good minds, gentle disposition, natural gait, incredible looks and color! Our foals are born gaiting.

Each year we are blessed with beautiful, correct and naturally gaited foals. With such quality, personality and gait our babies sell quickly. Foals are handled from birth and worked with natural horsemanship methods. All our horses are on a regular worming, vaccination and farrier program.

It is the Rocky Mountain Horse's unique combination of traits of temperament, willingness, gait and beauty that attracted us to the breed.

It has been almost a decade since we were first introduced to the incredible and rare breed of Mountain Horses. We have built our ranch on quality, integrity and the ability to connect horse and rider. It has been an adventurous journey establishing our breeding program and the results are tremendous.

We look forward to meeting you ~ Stacey & Bruce
